Bioluminescence under the stars
One would think that the Brown Noddies and the Terns return to the beaches after dark to rest after their long days of hunting in the open sea. But I like to think that it may simply be to admire a phenomenon magic that is offered to them! During the darkest hours of the night, starlight matches the bioluminescence of plankton excited by the movement of the waves. From then on, in complete privacy, the seabirds find themselves in the front row to contemplate this incredible spectacle.
