It is an incredible chance that we had this Sunday, October 3, 2021! A moment as rare as it is exceptional: witnessing the release of gametes from barrel sponges. Perfectly synchronized, they all sent millions of gametes into the blue of the iris bank. It reminded me of small chimneys with their columns of smoke.
