At sunset, the brown Noddis take flight on the white sand islet of Saziley is a privileged and poetic moment. The brown noddy or noddy beast nests on tropical or subtropical islands around the globe. It settles as well on islands close to the coasts, such as those located off western Mexico and Australia, as on isolated islets, such as the Galapagos, in the Pacific, or Tristan da Cunha, in the South Atlantic. A few populations of Brown Noddies are migratory, probably more southerly, and can be found in large bands far offshore. The other noddis remain all year round near the islands, coral reefs and other islets where they nest.
