Moheli Island Comoros - - Shissiwa Wenéfou
The islets of Nioumachoua which are located off the southern coast of Moheli are the largest and best known. Their names all begin with shissiwa which means island. They all have the same massive appearance.
The largest island known for sha Shissiwa Wenéfou in shikomori, that is to say literally island of lepers, has long been the venue of people with leprosy (as there was no treatments for lepers, we isolated them not to contaminate the rest of the population). These patients were supplied with water and food for their families. They were installed on the north coast of the island, facing the city of Nioumachoua. For cons, the south coast was inhabited by disabled people living in fishing and farming.
