Manta rays, whale sharks, and some other marine animals are at risk of getting caught or tangled in marine litter. Microplastics and ghost fishing nets, in particular, pose a serious threat. The manta image presented on the new PADI 2020 map, limited edition, supporting the preservation work of Project AWARE represents our vision for the future: a beautiful and clean ocean environment that no longer needs to be protected. But do not get me wrong! The ocean is in danger and needs your continued support! The new map is accessible to PADI Pros from October 2019, and will be available to student divers during the year 2020 when it is launched in January.
