Dolphins
Belonging to the large family of marine mammals, dolphins are present in all the seas and oceans of the globe. The word dolphin refers to a large number of cetacean species, killer whales also belong to the group of delphinids for example. Like all other cetaceans, the dolphin has several fins: two pectorals fin, a dorsal fin, a caudal fin. Dolphins also have a vent located on the upper part of their head. It is through this vent that they breathe, not through their mouths. On this page, I have shared my passion for dolphin pictures. You will find photos of several dolphin species such as:
- Tursiops Truncatus (bottlenose dolphins, like Flipper)
- the Tursiops Aduncus (Indian Ocean bottlenose dolphins, a little smaller than Tursiops truncatus)
- other smaller cetaceans such as those of the Stenellae family
