Octopus!
Mayotte has a beautiful lagoon, the 3 rd largest lagoon in the world behind the great Australian barrier reef and lagoon of New Caledonia. However, it has a great feature: its tidal !!!
Due to its geographical position, Mayotte has a tidal range of 4m ...... which is very rare for a tropical island.
This tidal range, at major tide uncovering causes of coral reef. It was at that moment that I was able to photograph this beautiful octopus in 40 cm of water.
